Dear CODE27 Family,

The progress continues with our new update 1.5.2 which adds two new Music Scenes and plenty of quality of life improvements and bug fixes. The full 1.5.2 patch notes are further down in this update. If your CODE27 gets stuck at a black screen during the update process, try pressing the checkmark on the top right of the touch screen. If that doesn't continue the update process, restart the device by holding the center button and the update will continue. We will be releasing a hotfix swiftly.

Two New Music Scenes 🎵

Version 1.5.2 brings two new Music Scenes. The first puts your Codie on a colorful stage with speakers bumping, spotlights and disco balls shining.

The second new scene is a virtual stage with digital notes, blocks and light rays flying out of the screen.

Version 1.5.2 also adds dynamic eye contact and a switch to turn emoji expressions on or off. Full patch notes:

• Fixed an issue where frequently switching sound effect settings caused voice recording to malfunction.
• Fixed an issue where switching to Music Mode caused the LED lights to reset.
• Fixed an issue where some data was not fully cleared when clearing data in Data Management.
• Fixed image display issues on the History and Chat pages.
• Fixed pose and position issues in some animations.
• Fixed an issue where the camera view could be blocked by the ceiling.
• Fixed animation transition issues in some cases.
• Fixed some localization text issues.
• Fixed an issue relating to spring bones when importing some models.
• Fixed various other known issues.

More Fixes on the Way 🔧

The team is also working on a follow-up round of fixes that will roll out in an upcoming update:

• Fixed cases where silence or non-speech sounds were picked up as if you had said something
• Fixed an issue where creating a Custom Voice could fail
• Adjusted the default volume for a set of voices that played back too loud
• Improved Bluetooth compatibility with iPhones

CODE27 Mobile App 📱

The next update to the CODE27 Mobile App for Android brings:

• Create Custom Voices right from the app
• Set alarms for your CODE27 from the app
• Choose your Codie's conversation language in the app, with English, Japanese, Spanish, French, and German
• Fixed an issue where conversation stopped working after turning off 3D mode

The iOS version is still in development, and we'll announce it here the moment it's ready.

Website Order Shipping 📦

Orders placed through our official website are shipping in batches. One batch was held up by an earlier customs delay and is still on its way by sea freight. It's expected to reach its local warehouse in early October, and tracking numbers will be sent out once your unit is handed off to your local domestic carrier. Another batch is scheduled to begin shipping next week. For the remaining website orders, we're confirming the shipping schedule now and will share it as soon as it's set.
