CODE27 Quick Start Guide

CODE27 includes core AI features for natural character interaction, including voice recognition, multimodal understanding, AI conversation, emotional response, and multilingual text-to-speech.
These features allow Codie to understand your voice, respond through speech, react with facial expressions and body movements, and create a more lifelike character experience.

At the early stage, CODE27 will focus on standard humanoid VRM models. Support for more file formats, body types, and conversion workflows will continue to improve through future updates and official tutorials.

No. CODE27 is designed to work as a standalone device and does not need to be connected to a computer for daily use.
You can set up and interact with CODE27 directly through the device itself and the CODE27 App. A computer or web interface may be used for certain account settings, file management, or advanced configuration.

CODE27 works best with an internet connection, especially for AI conversation, cloud-based model services, updates, and online features.
Some offline features will be available at launch, and more offline modes will be introduced through future OTA updates. Local deployment options for LLM and TTS are also planned for later updates.

You can customize your character by uploading compatible 3D models, adjusting character settings, and changing appearance-related elements such as outfits, hairstyles, colors, and personality settings.
CODE27 also supports customizable backgrounds, from 2D scenes to immersive 3D environments such as bedrooms, stages, cafés, or other Codie Spaces. More character customization and background options will be added through future updates.

CODE27 currently supports Chinese, English, and Japanese.
Additional language support, including Korean, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, will be added gradually through future updates.

CODE27 supports long-term memory for each character. Memory is based on conversation turns, and each character can keep around 10,000 turns in real-time memory.
When the memory limit is reached, older conversations are not simply deleted. Instead, important details such as preferences, habits, anniversaries, and key events can be summarized and stored in a memory database, helping Codie maintain context over time without saving every single sentence.

CODE27 protects user data through encrypted transmission and local-first storage design. Chat data is transmitted using TLS/HTTPS encryption, and conversation content is not stored on our servers by default.
Personal data is handled with privacy in mind. Sensitive information is not manually read, and the system is designed to reduce unnecessary server-side storage. For users who prefer a more private setup, future local AI options will provide more flexibility.

Yes. CODE27 supports voice customization. Users can choose from preset voices or upload a clear voice sample to create a personalized voice experience.

CODE27 uses a USB-C PD power adapter and USB-C power cable. For stable operation, please use the official power adapter and cable included with the product.
Using a low-power charger, computer USB-C port, or incompatible third-party cable may cause unstable startup, repeated rebooting, or insufficient power supply.
