Smart Rotating Base

The Smart Rotating Base is an optional accessory designed specifically for CODE27. It allows you to manually rotate CODE27 and enables automatic face tracking, helping CODE27 stay oriented toward you.

Powering On the Base

The power button is located at the back of the Smart Rotating Base.

  1. Locate the small button marked with a red dot.
  2. Press the button to turn on the base.
  3. The four power indicator lights on the front of the base will light up.

Each indicator light represents approximately 25% of the battery level.

For example:

  • 1 light: approximately 25%
  • 2 lights: approximately 50%
  • 3 lights: approximately 75%
  • 4 lights: approximately 100%

If the base is not fully charged, some of the indicator lights will remain off.

Mounting CODE27

To securely mount CODE27 onto the Smart Rotating Base:

  1. Locate the two raised points on the top of the base.
  2. Align them with the two corresponding holes on the bottom of CODE27.
  3. Place CODE27 onto the base and make sure it is securely positioned.

Once CODE27 is mounted, use the built-in USB-C cable on the base to provide power to CODE27.

Connect the cable to the USB-C power port on the right side of CODE27.

Manual Rotation

Once CODE27 is connected to the base, you can manually rotate the base and CODE27 together using the two buttons on the right side of the base.

  • Left button: Rotate clockwise
  • Right button: Rotate counterclockwise

Press the corresponding button to adjust the direction of CODE27.

Face Tracking

The Smart Rotating Base can automatically turn CODE27 toward you using Face Tracking.

To enable Face Tracking:

  1. Open Settings on CODE27.
  2. Select External Devices.
  3. Select Base.
  4. Turn on Face Tracking.
  5. Return to Chat Mode.

When Face Tracking is enabled, the white indicator light next to the camera will turn on.

CODE27 can then automatically turn toward you as you move.

Charging the Smart Rotating Base

When the base is running low on battery, the first indicator light will continuously flash, reminding you to recharge the base.

The charging port is located directly below the power button on the back of the base.

To charge the Smart Rotating Base:

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port below the power button.
  2. Use the power adapter and USB-C cable included with CODE27.
  3. Connect the cable to the charging port on the base.

Moving CODE27 with the Base

The Smart Rotating Base does not need to remain connected to external power while you move CODE27 to another location.

When moving CODE27 with the Smart Rotating Base attached:

  1. Disconnect the base from its power source.
  2. Support both the base and CODE27 with both hands.
  3. Carefully move them to the desired location.

We recommend using both hands to support the base and CODE27 together to help prevent accidental drops.
