CODE27 Progress Report: New Year Status, Feedback Fixes & Production Prep
Dear CODE27 Family,
We are back with our first update of 2026!
The team has been working through the holidays to ensure that the momentum from our recent shipments and mobile beta continues into the new year. We are thrilled to share the latest progress on both the software/firmware progress and minor refinements before large batch shipping.
Over the past two weeks, we’ve been reviewing early feedback, working tirelessly to fix reported bugs, improve stability, and day-to-day usability. Below is what we’ve completed recently.
Firmware/Hardware Refinements
Improved Signal Stability
We updated several internal connection details to improve stability and reduce edge-case interference in extended testing.
Headphone Experience Improvements
A noise issue that could occur in certain touch and interaction scenarios has been resolved through firmware optimization.
Refined Button Behavior
Screen on/off behavior has been tuned so it feels more predictable during daily use.
Bluetooth Stability Improvements
We fixed multi-device edge cases and improved control reliability in real-world pairing scenarios.
Bluetooth Bugs Resolved
We addressed a case where the device name could change after certain update or maintenance steps.
Updated Surface Finish
After multiple validation rounds, we confirmed the update to the exterior texture and improved finish consistency.
Improved Component Fit Consistency
We made progress reducing small fit variations across structural parts to improve consistency across units.
Packaging Refinements
The refined packaging details are now being applied to outgoing units, with improved print accuracy and small fit-and-finish adjustments that help reduce cosmetic risk during international transit.
Mobile Experience Updates
New Codie Content
A new holiday outfit for one of our included characters is complete.
Quick Button Screen-off Improvements
We improved quick action behavior for screen-off workflows.
Reduced Response Delay Options
We added a preferred server option to help reduce response delay depending on region and network conditions.
JP Language Improvement
Japanese localization and conversations have been improved along with character consistency.
Improved Safety Settings
The optional settings to enable safety filtering and customize filtering has been improved.
Codie Spaces Scenes Expanded
Codie Spaces now includes a complete bedroom and study scene.
Mobile Beta App Testing Progress
The first wave of testers is actively helping us identify bugs and usability issues, and each round of fixes brings us closer to expanding access to more backers.
Login stability fixes
A login issue reported during testing has been resolved.
Smoother real-time rendering
We updated the real-time rendering architecture to reduce stutter and improve smoothness during interaction.
CODE27 Community Photos
Here are some photos of newly unboxed CODE27s sent to us. Some photos still have the plastic protection that they forgot to remove.

Here are some screenshots of conversations sent to us by the mobile beta testers. This is an early preview build and the user interface and user experience is still at work-in-progress and we will be expanding customization options in the future.

Thank you for your continued support and for sharing clear feedback. We’re taking what we learn from real-world use and turning it into practical refinements that improve consistency and polish across the board for the next batch of shipments. We’ll be back in the next bi-weekly update with more completed progress to share.
With sincere gratitude,
The CODE27 Team
